Today we honor the men and women whose profound acts of citizenship – service in the armed forces of the United States of America – have safeguarded our country for 237 years and guaranteed our rights and freedom as Americans.

As a member of the QTS Family, you are surrounded by heroes.   Each day we have the opportunity to express our appreciation to our everyday heroes in our words and actions.    In addition to the many veterans we transport, we also have several QTS team members who have served our country.  To all of our everyday heroes . . .we humbly offer  our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the many sacrifices that you and your loved ones have made in exchange for our freedom.

Today and each day, I encourage you to show your appreciation for those who’ve spent time in uniform, as well as the many other special people who protect us, care for us and, in general, make life better for our families and communities.  As the primary service provider for the VA,  we have the opportunity to show our appreciation 365 days a year.

As many of you have witnessed, our everyday heroes are often without the basics, such as families to care for them, appropriate housing, etc.   As we continue to find ways to support the veterans in our community, I would urge you to join our efforts and help us make a difference.   Please show your support by wearing your red polo’s on Red Shirt Friday, as well as taking a few minutes to grab a few gently used or new blankets and  jackets, as we work to supply the Justa Center with a surplus for the estimated 1,600+ homeless veterans who sleep on our city streets each night.

On behalf of the QTS Management Team, we extend our gratitude and admiration to our Nation’s Veterans on this  special day of recognition, as well as our deepest appreciation to our team, passengers, and colleagues at VA for their dedication, their loyalty, and partnership to the mission of  “Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”
