Behind the Scenes – QTS Customer Service

Here’s what happens when you contact QTS Customer Service….
By Phone: We have 8 incoming phone lines and each call is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by a real live person. Our goal is to answer on the first ring each and every time. While we love our “message on hold” we hope you never hear it.
By Email: Email can be sent directly to or via our secure website contact forms. All email is received real time and responded to immediately.
The team responsible for making this all happen is led by Travis. He sets a high bar for friendly, responsive, knowledgeable customer service – whether the call comes in at 4pm or 4am. Travis has at his fingertips a world class scheduling and dispatch system, and up to the minute information about each vehicle and driver. No matter how you choose to place your reservation, the information is immediately entered and confirmed.
But more important then all that technology and capability, is the personal touch. Each member of the team takes to heart the individual needs of our customer and passenger. Our passengers are not numbers or insurance claims. We know our passengers by name and are able to respond to their specific needs and preferences.
At QTS, we’re big enough to have the best capability, and small enough to answer the phone with a smile. Contact us today!
Thank you!

We hope you enjoyed the Newsletter. Your feedback is always welcome at
See you next month.

March 2012

Spring Training is here, but we’ve been so busy, actually attending games in person has been a bit elusive. On the other hand, the entire team is watching their March Madness brackets, and the competition is keen. Peggy is currently in the lead, but that could change tomorrow.

This month we welcome 2 new vehicles to our fleet, a full size Wheelchair and Stretcher Van, and another of our crowd pleasing Ford Transit Wheelchair and Ambulatory vehicles. We currently have to say “no” to about 1.2% of our transportation requests – and our goal is ZERO. With continued investment in our Driver Team and by bringing on new vehicles at a steady pace, we will be able to always say “Yes”.

Sadly, the price of fuel is on the rise again, and we are forced to add a small temporary charge to our per mile fees. Your Business Development representation will have the details. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to increase our MPGs and utilize our advanced dispatch software to reduce wasted miles – and keep our fuel expenses to a minimum.
See you at the Ball Games (we wish!),

MAG – Municipal Aging Services Project – Transportation Priorities

In a recent survey of the 55% plus population, Transportation was identified as the most needed service by 30% of respondents. The concern spans all demographics and areas of the county.

Transportation is also identified as the #1 priority for people with disabilities. Over 30% of the population aged 55+ report at least one disability – from hearing impairment to mobility restrictions and obesity.

1.5% of the local population 65+ live in Senior Living Facilities – and growing.

In Maricopa County, the 65+ population is expected to double in the next 10 years – from 700,000 to over 1,500,000. The largest growth will be in the East Valley and Northwest Valley.

More information and in depth data can be found at

Big thank you to MAG for supporting this research and bringing the community together to focus on the issues of the elderly and aging population.

DID YOU EVER WONDER??

Most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May,

And they still smelled pretty good by June. However, since they were starting to smell, Brides carried abouquet of flowers to hide the body odor.

Hence the custom of the bride carrying a bouquet when getting married.

Baths consisted of a big tub filled with hot water. The man of the house had the privilege of the nice clean water, then the sons and any other men living in that household, next are the women, the children, and then finally the babies. By then the water was so dirty you could actually lose someone in it. Hence the saying, “Don’t throw the baby out with the Bath water!”

Houses had thatched roofs-thick straw-piled high, with no wood underneath.

It was the only place for animals to get warm, so all the cats and other small animals (mice, insects, etc.) lived in the roof. When it rained it became slippery and oftentimes the animals would slip and fall off the roof.

Hence the saying, “It’s raining cats and dogs.”

QTS is driven by our mission to provide the best non-emergency medical transportation available.

We have the best on-time performance of any provider (ask to see our data!), one call booking and the fastest and most accurate customer service team (we track that data too!), and immediate detailed email confirmations for every ride (other providers can only dream about this capability!).

Safe, Reliable, and Compassionate Transportation is what we are all about.

5 Ways to Stop the Spread of Colds
Cold Prevention Tip 1: Wash Your Hands

You’ve heard it many times before, but washing your hands is the single most important way to stop the spread of colds. When you wash your hands, do it thoroughly. Use soap and water and scrub for a minimum of 20 seconds.

Cold Prevention Tip 2: Cover Your Nose and MouthMost of us were raised to cover our mouths and noses with our hands when we sneezed or coughed. Instead, use the crook of your elbow — or a tissue.

Cold Prevention Tip 3: DisinfectCold germs can live on surfaces for hours. Consider disinfecting areas like tabletops, doorknobs, remote controls, and toys.

Cold Prevention Tip 4: Go DisposableColds can be spread by shared towels and cups in the bathroom. When someone in the house is sick, consider switching to paper products for a week.

Cold Prevention Tip 5: Take Care of YourselfCan eating healthy foods, getting enough sleep, and reducing stress help prevent colds? We don’t really know. There is some evidence that they might help keep your immune system strong — and potentially more capable of fighting off a cold virus. Let’s face it, it can’t hurt.
