Meanwhile, QTS is moving from Spring to Summer. The Fleet just went through a thorough AC servicing, and we brought the newest member of the fleet on-line, a full size, multi-modal vehicle.

QTS travels the valley providing the best, on-time, assisted transportation available. We also travel throughout Arizona, to California and New Mexico, and beyond. Be sure to call us if you need a cost effective, comfortable, transportation solution.

May is National Skin Cancer Awareness Month. Be sure to slather up and whenever you can, stay out of the sun.

All the best for a great month.

Memorial Day 2013

Memorial Day was officially proclaimed on 5 May 1868 by General John Logan, national commander of the Grand Army of the Republic and was first observed on 30 May 1868, when flowers were placed on the graves of Union and Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery.

In 1951, the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts of St. Louis began placing flags on the 150,000 graves at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery as an annual Good Turn.

Since the late 50’s on the Thursday before Memorial Day, the 1,200 soldiers of the 3d U.S. Infantry place small American flags at each of the more than 260,000 gravestones at Arlington National Cemetery.

In Flanders Fields
John McCrae, 1915.
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Where ever you go, what ever you do this Memorial Day, please take a moment to remember all the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
