March is … National Kidney Month

26The goal of Nation Kidney Month is to focus the nation’s attention on kidney health – and for good reason. Kidney disease is a serious and increasingly common condition affecting the health of more than 31 million Americans.

Kidney diseases are most often caused by diabetes and high blood pressure, and can lead to a heart attack, stroke, kidney failure and death.

Anyone can develop kidney problems, however, there is a greater risk for those who:

* Have Diabetes

* Have High Blood Pressure

* Have a Family Member with Kidney Disease

* Are African American, Hispanic, Native American or Asian

* Are 60 Years of Age or Older

What are the Warning Signs?

Unfortunately 9 out of 10 people with early kidney disease don’t know it. More often than not there are no noticeable symptoms. The only way to know that your kidneys are working properly is to get tested. If caught early, kidney disease can be treated.

Don’t Be a Statistic!

Protect yourself and the people you love. . . National Kidney Month is the perfect time to take simple actions that can make a significant difference in your health and the prevention of kidney diseases such as, increased exercise, modifying your diet to include healthier choices and get screened.

Karen called to thank our driver Gabe for helping Mr. W. She complimented him on his patience and helpfulness, making sure Mr. W. arrived safe and sound at his destination.

Joanne let Alice know that she greatly appreciates what QTS does. She loves our drivers and said they are always “crisp” and show they care by the way the speak to the patients and offer assistance.

Roger H. highlighted the outstanding service he received from Dan. He said he was nervous and that Dan was understanding and helped relieve his anxiety. He said Dan was professional and a joy to ride with.

Mr. G called to make sure we know that are drivers (Sergio) are fine gentlemen and are doing a great job.

Deb O. wrote to tell us about her positive experience with Randy.. “he was extremely friendly, patient and caring. He told us what to expect, helped us, and provided everything we needed. He made sure the move was very easy and pleasant.”

Everyone genuinely wants to help each other succeed.

I love being able to provide a solution for our clients and passengers.

3. Is there a fun fact about yourself that you would like to share with our clients?

I am a bit of a local celebrity! I was on the Wallace and Ladmo show in 4th Grade with my Girl Scout Troop and won a prize (but not a Ladmo bag).
